CHICKEN HAMONADO

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup pineapple syrup
  • 2 bay leaves, crushed
  • 1 medium-sized onion, sliced
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions:

  1. Rub the chicken inside and out with ground pepper.
  2. Marinate the chicken in the remaining ingredients for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your Platinum Cookware on medium heat until the Thermo Control Knob reaches 40-50.
  4. Sear the marinated chicken lightly, allowing even heat distribution to lock in juices.
  5. Pour the marinade over the chicken and add onion rings.
  6. Cover with the lid and wait for the Thermo Control Knob to reach 40-50 again, then turn the heat to low.
  7. Let cook for 30 minutes without adding extra water—Platinum Cookware’s sealed lid ensures all natural juices remain intact.
