Sinigang na Baboy (Pork in Tamarind Soup)

Waterless Cooking Method in the Platinum Cookware

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pork belly, cut into chunks

  • 2 medium tomatoes, quartered

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 1 cup daikon radish, sliced

  • 1 cup eggplant, sliced

  • 1 cup string beans, cut into 2-inch pieces

  • 1 cup water spinach (kangkong) or bok choy

  • 1 packet tamarind soup base or fresh tamarind extract

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • If you'd like to add okra & jalapeno ( this is a great option)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the 8-qt. Platinum Cookware on medium heat.

  2. Layer pork, tomatoes, onions, radish, eggplant, then string beans.

  3. Sprinkle tamarind base on top. Cover with lid.

  4. When the indicator reaches 40–50°C, lower the heat to simmer.

  5. Cook for 30 minutes, then add greens in the last 5 minutes.

  6. Stir and serve hot.
